Flora bridal dress - The Melanie
This beautiful, bohemian-style lace and pearl dress is designed by Israeli designer Flora Bridal. It's hand sewn, small-pearl detail on the bodice is extremely delicate and continues in a straight line down the back. The lace of the bodice sits over a nude/skin coloured body with built in bra cup support. This does up in-between the legs, ensuring a smooth close fit and giving the appearance of bare skin underneath the lace. The lace on the full length sleeves sits on your skin, not on the body underneath, and ends in two thin cuffs of small pearls. The bodice and main skirt are distinguished from each other by a waist band of small pearls which adds structure to the dress, flattering the waist-line without being restrictive. The main skirt is made of two different materials. A silk A-line underskirt and a free-flowing silk netting over the top which falls right down to the ground and trails out behind you giving a very romantic and floaty look. There is a secret eye-loop hook on the seam of the overskirt which allows you to attach it to one of the line of pearls down your back so that you can shorten the amount of material when you are dancing. Due to the length of this over skirt, there is some damage to the material which has not been removed from dry cleaning and would require alteration. However, owing to the abundance of material here, it would be very easy to either shorten the length, or remove the over skirt and replace with new material if desired. The owner had this section removed and altered herself and some people have chosen to wear this design without the overskirt at all as the silk underskirt is in itself really lovely. Apart from this the dress is in perfect condition and is looking for a happy home! For more pictures of this romantic, free-spirited dress, search the web as there are plenty on there.
