Maggie Sottero Princess Ball Gown Wedding Dress
On my wedding day I was a size 12 on top (34C bust size) and a large size 14 at the hips. Due to the style of the dress it flares out at the waist, therefore I didn't need to make any size alterations to it whatsoever. The dress is so comfortable & supportive because of the built-in inner lace up bodice that I didn't need to wear a bra or add any padding either. I wore a cathedral underskirt to make the dress look fuller, but it looks just as lovely without one too. When I saw it on the hanger it wouldn't have been my 1st choice as I was looking for something more simplistic, it looked far too ‘blingy’ for my taste, but as soon as I tried it on I was shocked with how classically beautiful it was & it didn’t feel ‘too much’ at all, it accents you in all the right places, with a sparkle that truly enhances the Bride To Be twinkle in your eye! The colour of the dress was described by the Boutique owner as a Butter-Milk Vanilla. It had a soft warmth to it which gave the dress a romantic tone. I searched for a simple Chapel length veil to compliment it and I got the perfect colour match, which was identified as Dark Ivory. (I am selling this also) When looking for my perfect dress, my heart was set on buttons down the back, the dress came with exquisite ornate buttons down the bodice, which I loved; so decided to continue them down the skirt so the only embellishment from the original design was adding 28 Swarovski crystals to the original 12. Unfortunately on my perfect day, an incident did occur when the outer most layer of the delicate organza slightly ripped, (as you wear the dress, it is on the bottom left hand side) I attach ‘before and after’ photos of the rip which I immediately got professionally mended when it was professionally dry cleaned. As you can see, once your stood a meter away it looks almost invisible, like a slight crease. The selling price does take this into consideration and reflects the added Swaroski Crystals too.
