Hi Melanie & welcome to Bride2Bride!

Could you start off by tell us a little bit about Phairytale Brides?

Phairytale Brides is a very new business. I have recently started designing, buying & selling wedding dresses after discovering my passion while looking for my perfect wedding dress.

Although it is still a very small business, I do give very fast replies to any queries & offer a bespoke dress design if required.

Currently Phairytale Brides is trying to expand the stock & items we supply. Within the next few months to years, we will aim to be a well established small company.

Choosing the Right Best Man Gift

Are you struggling to find the perfect gift for your best man? We are delighted to have Helenaur Cairns of CGE Gifts Ltd (Can't Get Enough Gifts) providing us with some very helpful advice!

Best Man Gifts on Bride2Bride

It is traditional to get a thank you gift for the members of the top table at your wedding and especially the Best Man and Bridesmaids who will be your key helpers in putting together your special wedding day and making everything runs smoothly. In this blog we look at presents for the Groom's 'Wingman' for the Day – Best Man Gifts.

Many couples who are on a tight budget are saying that just being invited to the wedding is enough and they are probably right, it is a huge privilege to be involved in any aspect of the most important day of your friend's life. However saying thank you doesn't have to cost a lot, it really is the thought that counts with buying a best man gift.

Would you like a multi-day wedding?

I've just read an article over on The Huffinton Post, about the rise in popularity of multi-day weddings. Have you heard of this? Basically instead of having just one big day, couples are increasingly choosing to spread their wedding celebrations over 2-3 days in what has been termed "wed-kends" (I'm not sure if I like that phrase at all!).

Justin Timberlake Wedding Holly Valence Wedding

Two recent celebrity weddings to embrace this trend are Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel who had a week long celebration in Italy, and Holly Valance and her husband Nick in a 3 day celebration in Beverly Hills earlier this year.

5 Tips for planning a budget friendly hen party

This week we have some fantastic budget-friendly advice from Genevieve of www.gohen.co.uk.

Great news for all of the stressed maid-of-honour's and anxious bride-to-be's: it is possible to plan your hen night on a purse-friendly budget! There are some simple steps you can follow so that your hen party guests have a great time and the financials are kept under wraps. Here are our five top tips!

1. Pick a date early on

This is the best way to get the ball rolling anyway, and you can choose a date around everyone's budgets. For the best value flights and accommodation choose dates outside of the main summer weeks; often spring and autumn are better times to go away as there are less crowds and usually pleasant weather.

Cheap Hen Party Ideas

2. Choose a destination asap

If you pick a destination early on then you're likely to benefit from cheaper flights, more activities to choose from and a lot less stress! As a general rule flights do tend to be cheaper when booked in advance so decide where you want to head with the girls early on. If you're stuck for ideas then you might like to know that the top hen party destinations at the moment are London, Edinburgh, Marbella, Ibiza, Barcelona and Brighton.

3. Don't invite too many people

Please vote for us in the Wedding Industry Awards!

Click here to vote for Bride2Bride!

You may have already heard about this on our Facebook page, but we just wanted to let you know that Bride2Bride is in the running for a Wedding Industry award in 2013!

Vote for Bride2Bride in the Wedding Industry Awards!

We are in the 'Special Touch' section (as none of the other categories really seem to apply to us!), and we need your help to be in with a chance of winning.

As some of you will already know, the idea for Bride2Bride came to me whilst we were planning our own wedding in 2010, when I realised that there wasn’t an easy, free way to buy and sell wedding items. John and I strongly believe in providing you with the best possible service, we both constantly work to improve the way the site works, and will always continue to do this. Crucially, we will always keep the site free for Brides to use. We really hope that you are all finding it to be a really useful resource.

Please click here to vote for us!

It would be really lovely to receive as many votes as possible, but please note that you can only vote for us if you got married 1st November 2011 and 31st October 2012, and you can only vote after your wedding has taken place.

To vote click here or visit www.the-wedding-industry-awards.co.uk for more information.

THANK YOU!
